EXEGESIS
The film follows the interpretation of Father Leonardo Castellani (1891-1981 R.I.P.), an Argentine priest, writer and intellectual of the last century. Castellani is based in turn on patristics and on the most authoritative authors, such as Saint John Henry Newman and the venerable Bartholomew Holzhauser, among others. Its exegesis is the result of more than 50 years of work and research, and its interpretation is surprising for its modernity, since more than 60 years after it was written it has become more accurate than then.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Simón Delacre, founder ofCARAVEL FILMS, is the Screenwriter, Director and Producer of "The Apocalypse of Saint John". Argentinian, devout Catholic and family man. His experience in cinema is more that of the spectator than that of the director. A fact that puts you at an advantage by knowing first-hand the mentality of the average viewer and what they like the most.

His career began at the University of Buenos Aires, where he studied film. After graduating, he began directing and producing a series of Science Fiction short films,thus consolidating his skill as an integral director.
​
Equipped with studies in Professional Photography, Simón worked as a photographer and videographer for many years. In 2020, he began producing and directing his First Feature: "The Apocalypse of San Juan". In this masterpiece, he not only stood out as a director and producer, but also left his mark on visual effects and photography, demonstrating his versatility and creativity.
​
With more than a decade dedicated to the in-depth study of Father Castellani's work, especially with regard to eschatology. From his interest in the study of the End of Times and his fascination with Hollywood cinema from the 90s and 2000s, especially the Science Fiction genre, "The Apocalypse of San Juan" was born, a film that will surprise the viewer both for the edifying as well as the entertaining.
